"Marvelous experience that I must repeat at some time in future."

The location was perfection. Close to amenities but cottage was private with all the facilities I needed. The cottage backed onto a reserve and the bird life beautiful. Hosts so helpful and generous and we're so easy to talk with.

"Very peaceful and welcoming accommodation close to the town centre"

Very close to the town centre and yet very peaceful, down a driveway and behind the owners' house, in a large garden next to a reserve. The accommodation itself is a small house but has a spacious bedroom, a separate bathroom (with shower), and a combined living room and (well-equipped) kitchen. And the owners/hosts were very welcoming and friendly.

We stayed 2 weeks over the New Year period and found this to be the perfect hideaway in a very private corner of a beautiful garden. Quiet, clean and comfortable with some lovely personal touches. We appreciated the fresh fruit and chilled water we were left. The owners are super friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble (including waiting up for us after a travel delay). We would highly recommend this accommodation for a visit to this beautiful part of New Zealand. Everything is very accessible- including the supermarket, shops, cafes , pub and train station.

Everything was perfect. The location is excellent, with parking on the property. Hans and Michaela, are super, friendly, helpful hosts, who simply want you to have the perfect stay. The property is two minutes walk from shops yet so peaceful and immaculately presented with everything you could need. We will definitely return. Thank you.

"Peaceful garden retreat close to everything you could need"

The name "Hide Away" is spot on the money. The property was peaceful and in a lovely garden setting. It was very well-equipped, comfortable and quiet. Only 3 minutes walk to the main shops and station but felt like a tranquil country setting. Michaela and Hans were exceptional hosts - attentive but not intrusive, warm and friendly and very thoughtful and kind. I will definitely be staying again.
