The location is wonderful. Close to restaurants, bars, shopping & the beach. The train station is a walk away & the port is accessible by walking to the port boundaries & using the free shuttle to get to the wharf you need.

When I messaged the owner about numerous issues he didn't get back to me for over 24 hours. These were the issues I wanted to discuss: There were no instructions for any of the appliances either in Italian or English. Which meant trying to work out the stove top and the washing machine were both laborious tasks which given some instructions would have saved me hours. The middle door required a certain "knack" to make the key work and to open the door. On three occasions I had enlist the help of someone else in the building. The television remote did not work & obviously hadn't for some time as the batteries were leaking battery acid. Also it was greasy & dirty. The kitchen is not "fully equipped". There was no cork screw, no cups or mugs or tongs. There were no dishwasher tablets for the dishwasher. There were no dish clothes. The bed sheets are old; thin & scratchy obviously cheap to start with & had been washed in some malodorous washing liquid that I think was supposed to smell like lavender. It didn't. The towels are thin & grey from use. There is little natural light. It is advertised that there is no free wifi but really, we are in the 21st Century isn't it about time? By the time the owner got back to me I was two days into a four day stay & those last two days I would be working in Rome. The owner, with a young man I assume to be his son who speaks English, did meet with me before I left & brought me a small gift of chocolate which was lovely of him. However when trying to explain to the son about the problems all he would say was "other guests had not complained about anything". I gave up.
