S'Agapò

Franco was an incredible host who went above and beyond to accommodate us. He made us delicious coffee every morning, gave us travel recommendations, and came to help us whenever we needed it, even when he was busy. We were very well taken care of! We don’t speak much Italian but we were able to communicate with Franco through Google Translate. We also were able to text his daughters on WhatsApp and they were responsive and generous as well. Franco showed us that warmth and kindness exceed any language barrier. We loved exploring the Naples area, Pompeii, Herculaneum, and the Amalfi Coast but staying here has been the greatest highlight of our time in Italy!

The host was super nice and we really appreciate the hospitality. They were super helpful and made us to feel like at home. We were always provided with cold bottles of water and fresh coffee. The room and the bathroom was clean and beautiful. The apartment is close to the Circumvesuviana station, and also in a walking distance from the port. Torre del Greco was a good starting point to discover the Gulf of Naples area (Naples, Pompeii, Vesuvio, Capri (there is a ferry from the local port), Sorrento, Herculaneum). There are several good restaurants in a short walking distance (Peppe Sott'o Ponte, Osteria del Porto). We got an excellent value for the price. Grazie mille

The room had an externally attached private bathroom which was not obvious from the room's description, but actually we had no problem with it.

So I love the area, it's not for everyone. But if you want a central location to see Pompeii, Herculaneum, Napoli and the area, this is perfect. If you're unfamiliar with the Napoli Metro / Paese Vesuviana, you're better staying in the more touristy areas.

The streets are narrow and difficult to navigate at times. Nothing against the property itself, but it is the streets of the area. You need to be aware of your surroundings and a fearless driver.

Breakfast was great. The staff was very kind and thoughtful, we got cold water every time after we arrived to the accommodation. We got a gift as well. Everything was clean and well prepared. The view was awesome from the balcony.

There was no plate, cutlery displayed (Although we could have got it from the staff)

To quote another guest, Que servicio! QUE SERVIIIICIOOO! Honestly, the most hospitable host we have had in six months of traveling. Went out of his way to take care of us- printed tickets for us, got info on public transit, arranged transport for us at much loser cost than Uber. Cookies and beverages in our room to welcome us, stationary and a pen on teh desk in our room, coffee to order every morning with breakfast snacks, a bottle of wine our last night, and even a parting gift. Beds were comfy, absolutely charming decor, terrace with a beautiful view, room darkening shutters; shared bathroom with large shower and huge heated towel rack that came in handy for drying wet clothes.

Does require climbing several flights of stairs to access, but our host insisted on carrying the suitcase!
