Masai Mara Sopa Lodge

The setting was great. Travelling from Nairobi to the lodge was good. Some potholes in the road slowed us down a bit. Once at the lodge, the hospitality was welcoming and friendly. The facilities are very good. All the meals were excellent. The chefs prepared Indian meals good variety. Oliver was so helpful. He went above and beyond to assist.

The tour guides are extortionate and should be moderated by the lodge. Park entry fees were paid for each day, but no receipts were presented. Francis and Simon were extortionate, along with the Massai village chief. Transport to gate arranged at the lodge desk for USD 65. I was charged USD 80 at the gate by the driver. The internet connection in the hotel reception and dining area was terrible.

Amazing place. Peaceful, spacious, beautiful rooms. Eco-friendly and kind staff. Nice views and nice cool pool. Lush and green, zebras came for some grass. Food is amazing, they went extra mile to provide me vegan food too.

Staff friendliness, cleanliness, food, food, food!!! The animals come onto the property so you have a small safari without even leaving the property. The staff is unbelievable - the African hospitality is unbelievable and unforgettable. It shows every step of the way. You feel welcome and the staff is happy to be there for you. Happy people, happy place!

If there are some restrictions like power cuts in the night or the WiFi available only in the lobby it is all reasonable as we are in the middle of the conversation area. Hard to find shortfalls there.

Location is inside the park. Room which I was given was very good and big. Bar is excellent and drink collection is good. Food spread was very good.

They should provide tea coffee maker in rooms.

Everything!! The ambiance and hospitality were over the top!
