The Cottage at Sychnant Farm

Everything was just perfect. So comfortable, a home from home. I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. We loved it, everything has been thought of and Faye could not have done more to make our stay better. All the mod-cons with a cozy cottage feel.

I absolutely loved my stay at the cottage. It’s well constructed and furnished. It was perfect to disconnect for afew days and relax. The underfloor heating made such a difference to my stay in the middle of February! Thankyou so much Faye and Rhys for the Bara Brith loaf and for taking the time to give a tour of the farm.

Rhys & Faye have gone to great length to Make the property a lovely cosy space , with all the necessary facilities . We loved the location , with many walks on your doorstep. Super hosts , lovely attention to detail from the welcome gifts to all the furnishings . A home from home break , thank you Faye. Great communication throughout our stay . The cottage is on the family working farm , so must control your pets ( if applicable ) . Our dogs had a great time too, we kept them on leads , worked no problem . We have walked loads , didn’t want to go home today , after spending 6 nights over new year at the cottage. Highly recommended, we will return. if you want to get away from it all , relax , glass of something in front of the fire after a days walking, then this is the perfect option. Thank you Kaye & Rhys

Lovely cottage, very well equipped.

What a little gem! We stayed here for 2 nights as a Christmas mini break, and the cottage was absolutely perfect with a little log fire and everything you could ever need. Only 30 mins from Pen y Fan too, and lots of cute towns nearby to explore. We loved the bara brith too - a very kind gesture! Thank you so much Faye and Rhys, we will be recommending this to all our friends and family.

The fact we had to leave!

We booked a trip so we could have an escape out of reality with our dogs. My partner and I have very demanding jobs and life can pass you by so we decided we needed some time to make memories with our dog Willow, who sadly is in the last stages of her life. It was PERFECT. Location was amazing for dog walking. 7 minutes drive is also The Whole Yard - a field called, Pen Kia, An enclosure you can hire for an hour and let your dogs run free and it’s about 4 acres. In wales there are a lot of cattle around so dogs need to be on leads at all times, but we found a lovely pub to eat at and spend a morning in Brecon eating in dog friendly pubs.

The only thing I didn’t like, was that I had to leave. I didn’t want to come home.

Outstanding cottage all amenities and so many personal touches. Home away from home!
