Under staffed or untrained, either way not good enough, it took 10 minutes on arrival to be seen, we were then given a key and someone pointed to the stairs, we assumed it was table service but had to keep going to the bar for menus etc, after our main meal as table was left with dirty plates etc, we were not asked if we wanted a dessert or another drink, after a few trips to the bar to find no staff we retired to our room at 8.40 and had to got to bed to keep warm. The heating came on in the morning just in time to thaw out to eat minimal breakfast half of which was burnt.

The food was excellent. Irish stew vennison pie, and Sunday roast. All staff very friendly & helpful. Log fire in the main bar most welcome. Room comfortable.

Free standing roll top bath with shower hose. Not suitable for elderly or restricted ability persons. Bar, lounge, and dining room closed at 6pm on Sunday. No other hostelries are available either. Village appears to close down on Sunday evenings, except Co op store. Had to retire to room.
