Ye Olde Vaults

Worst place I’ve ever had the misfortune to arrive at (I did not stay but checked out in under 2 hrs).

Firstly the property advertises parking which does not exist. Secondly, the property is above what I can only describe as a rave for 3 people (rest to the town was deserted on a Saturday night). Bar downstairs was empty with only a few people inside yet loud thumping music at 7pm meant the bed and floor was vibrating and you could sing along to every word. On investigation it came to light that this would go on until the early hours. With no chance of rest I informed I would be checking out to be met with rude and unprofessional responses from the property. Despite advertised quiet hours from 11pm and a poster in the room warning against even having the tv too loud I was told ‘what did I expect from a lively town centre pub and maybe I should have booked a quiet country residence instead’. To check out and leave via the side door. Refused a refund despite the fact that the property was not as advertised and I didn’t not stay longer than an hour or so. Also what appeared to be blood on floor outside entrance to rooms.

Great location.

Music from the pub below was loud, but it is turned down at a reasonable time.

So friendly and the bar and entertainment was amazing definitely will come back really good day and night thankyou

Location, although no parking. Warm comfortable room which smelled clean Good value for money as room only

No breakfast available but we knew that when booking. Just a light continental breakfast would be nice. Our room looked right out onto the square so it was extremely lively at night and a lot of loud music coming from downstairs but it wasn't really a problem Could do with a mirror on the wall in the bedroom

The room was clean

It was impossible to sleep due to the fact that immediately below our room was banging, ridiculously loud music, causing the bed to rattle until approximately 2am. Following that the inhabitants spilled put onto the street outside and continued to scream and shout for another hour. If you are expecting a nice evening in town and then a restful sleep DO NOT stay here. If however you are a party animal then maybe it would suit you, I can't imagine we would ever wish to return here and I certainly wouldn't recommend it. I attach a photo of the ironic house rules that state quiet time hours!

Ideal cental location

Location central no breakfast but there was a noisy pub nearby playing music into the early hours. En-suite shower very good,comfy bed. Nice view of the square & Christmas Tree.
