Welcome Bay Hot Pools

Awesome place for travelling stopover... friendly people and helpful and available. Pools are well maintained and definitely enjoyable part of the stay. Enjoyed walking around and seeing the progress on the gardens/grounds. Room was clean and mattress covers were refreshed. Access to shared kitchen and facilities was excellent.

Maybe clearer notices for "Recycling" designation... Also a wee bit of signposting for campers... "Kitchen/ toilets/pools... " THIS WAY. Etc. Maybe a "Sharing Shed" for those who have surplus or are travelling-to off load (food, camping equipment...etc)

Nothing. Unfortunately, my experience was entirely negative.

This was one of the worst accommodation experiences I’ve ever had. The room had a terrible smell from the moment I arrived, and I found cockroaches on the mattress and crawling on the walls. The hygiene standards were absolutely unacceptable. I couldn’t stay in the room for more than 10 minutes and had to book and pay for another place to spend the night. I reported the issue immediately, but I never received any response, solution, or refund. Considering the price, the conditions were unacceptable and the lack of customer service was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

My family and myself absolutely loved the night swim in the hot pools. It was stunning and an experience we have never had the privilege of indulging. We also had other whanau stay with us in another cabin, which also made it special to experience together. Highlight was it was cosy family friendly and so welcoming away from the hussle and bustle city life

An extra hour for the hot pools would be so appreciated
