West Town Barn

It was quite big and comfortable for 4 people.

No washing machine. Quite difficult to find. No supermarket within walking distance. Could have been a little bit clenaer.

Location is rural and perfect. local pub/restaurant nearby and a walk away.

Really cosy and comfortable. Kids loved it.

Upstairs floor was super slippy. We also had an issue finding the place. This wasn't down to the host it was booking.com. My phone battery died before we got there so I couldn't access the message the host sent. We accessed booking.com from a partners phone and the website gives west town farm as the location so we had to drive around for a while to find it.

There were clear instructions on where to locate the keys to the property which made the check in extremely easy. The property itself was set back from the main road so minimal disruption. There was plenty of space to park and the area felt safe. The barn itself has real character and inside it was open, spacious and comfortable, more than we had expected. The facilities available also exceeded our expectations, it was like going home from home, making our trip less stressful. It was a good distance from where we were travelling to each day which also made life easier for us.

Our only quip was the cobwebs. There were quite a few scattered at the windowsils up and downstairs and between the beams at eye level in the landing and bedrooms. There was a handy duster to hand in the utility room so I got rid of the ones that bothered me. Minor issue for us, but an easy fix.

The beds were lovely and comfortable with nice bed linen, thick duvets (probably too warm for summer but super cozy) and soft towels.

It feels as if there are only a few things that need to change or be added to make this property really lovely. They could do with a few more practical things like teapot, hairdryer etc. And a few changes to make it more comfy/ cozy downstairs and outside eg middle sofa is not comfortable. The water pressure is not good but we coped.

Everything was excellent. Quality. Comfortable. Convenient to Exeter University and Exeter town. Perfect!!!
