NZNZEverything, the community is lovely, quite and convenient. The unit is tidy, super clean. And all the details are perfect. Gail and Chris are thoughtful and nice. The place is better than what it looks like in photos. Their dog Mable is such a lovely dog. Gentle and friendly! I will definitely come back again.

NZWe loved this property. We were travelling as my husband required surgery, and the house was such a cosy, welcoming place to stay. The kitchen was very well stocked, with high‑quality, thoughtful touches throughout – beautiful soap, lovely tea, and quality china. The host even contacted us to ask what sort of milk and bread we liked, which was incredibly thoughtful. My husband was able to properly relax and recover after his surgery. Best of all, our wee dog Tilly was warmly welcomed. We loved staying in a quality home where our dog was genuinely treated as a welcome guest.

AUThe Gate House, Gail, and her gorgeous doggies were all truly exceptional. The Gate House itself feels like a little slice of luxury—beautifully built, thoughtfully appointed, and so quiet and peaceful… it’s honestly hard to leave. Gail couldn’t have been a more thoughtful host. She welcomed us with fresh bread, milk, butter, chocolate biscuits and more, which was such a lovely touch. She was also incredibly responsive to messages and very proactive in keeping us updated about local road closures, which we really appreciated. Mabel and Nelson, the resident doggies, are just the sweetest… if I could have squeezed them into my bags, Gail might have had a dog-napping on her hands 😉 It was a genuinely wonderful experience and a very special place to stay.
There’s absolutely nothing to fault about the Gate House — it was perfect in every way.

Nothing .An exceptional property, probably the best I have ever stayed in and I have travelled extensively and am 78. The attention to detail was incredible with the highest quality appliances and general decor. To anyone visiting Tauranga this is a gem. Look no further.
