Leoscar Apartment in Catania center Self Check-in

The apartment is 15-20 minutes from the city center in a lively, non-touristy neighborhood. Upon arrival, there was no hot water. We contacted the host for help, and he asked us to change the gas bottle and make adjustments to the water heater. In my opinion, such tasks should not be done by guests but by the owner. After several attempts, we still had no hot water, so we had to shower with cold water only the second night we manage to have bit of hot water . I also want to point out that the cleanliness wasn't 100% up to standard: a dirty towel was found in one of the bathroom drawers, and the sheets weren't in great condition—there were some lint balls. We also encountered a cockroach (obviously not the owner's fault, but still unpleasant). The air conditioning didn’t work very well, the toilet lid was loose, and the building was a bit noisy due to the neighbors' dogs. Overall, I was a bit disappointed with my stay.
