It was an excellent breakfast with very high quality ingredients and expertly cooked. The location was ideal for the wedding we were attending in Stopham. The interior furnishings were beautiful and the bed was very comfortable.

"little gem in west Sussex"

warm welcome from Martin the host, explained all the facilities and made me feel right at home. great location lovely 16th century home, large private lounge and dining area. also you have your own private entrance to the lounge and bedroom.

Lovely hosts Ann & Martin who made us very welcome and comfortable. Very friendly and helpful! We stayed for 2 peaceful nights in very quiet surroundings. Had a wonderful breakfast both mornings which was served and presented in a lovely way. We were also recommended to have a meal at the local pub the cricketers which also was very nice. Thank you for a memorable stay :-)

"Needs a clean!"

Superb location and a truly charming building. The breakfast was very nice.

Communications leading up to our stay over Booking.com with the proprietor were always disjointed and mostly negative. The floors needed vacuum cleaning and the windowsills were dirty. The cutlery had dried-in food on it. We found the proprietor's family pets in the lounge. There was cat's hair on the bed. I think the place needs a deep clean. It was also odd that the passage into the proprietor's kitchen was left open.

"Superb"

We had a great time staying at the Old Smithy. The location was to our liking as it was near the National Park. Traditional farm house, converted for a comfortable stay. The Host, Ann was lovely person. Very helpful. Loved the hiking to the local pub where the food was excellent

Great location for Goodwood. Very comfortable room and the bed was excellent. Lovely friendly owners Ann & Martin.

No air-con. However, Ann provided a suitable fan.
