The sowan ubud

Staff were very friendly, Aldi and Wayan were always happy to help and aided us during our bout of Bali belly. Rooms were nice and the accommodation was cleaned regularly. Great people. Food was good. Wayan was a great driver too.

The pool was not as clean as I hoped, but still decent.

A beautiful quiet place in the busy Ubud to discover Bali and Ubud and surroundings. Very nice family that owns the hotel. Nice swimming pool area, big rooms.

The accomodation was a good place with tropical exotic garden and pool. The price was good for such place. The pool was clean, so we swim all the time. Garden was also taken care in a good condition. Daily room cleaning was not enough. The lady woking in kitchen in the morning was smily and friendly.

There were a lot of structural problems in the rooms. There was no shower head holder on the wall, i had to keep the shower head by myself all the time. Another day, the toilet valve just got broken and we couldnt use flush. But, they fixed the next day. The breakfast was small and not enough. The kitchen was dirty and not hygenic at all. Usually they keep the foods and trash outside in kitchen, and it was causing a lot of flies. Cutting board and glasses had a lot of flies on them. After the first day, the water in the kitchen finished, and I had to pay for water. Room service was low, they didnt pick the trashes from the room or renew the towels. We had to ask all the time for those services. In general accomodation is good, but service needs to be improved.

The owner didnt even answered our calls when we needed somthing. There was no light in room at night. This is something that is not expected after coming to visit a place and paying agood amount.

The room is clean and bright. Garden is pretty and the pool refreshing. Quiet location, except for the staff 5am food preparations just outside the bedroom.

At 5am I was woken by a persistent knocking noise. When I went out to check it a staff was chopping onions and preparing food in the kitchen which is directly on the other side of the bedroom wall. I could not sleep with the noise. The room (#4) has huge glass panels covered in only shear curtains so light comes in and it is right next to communal kitchen and dining so not private. The staff did turn off most lights at night, which helped.
