The Pennan Inn

The location and view from the room is superb. Pennan is tranquil and beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good.

The bed, although comfortable, could have been bigger, considering the room cost £143 for one night. The shower was functional but cramped. The cubicle is way too small and it's difficult to move once inside. The radiator in the en suite was very dirty. We had hoped to go downstairs for a drink at the bar later in the evening but they had closed everything down by 9.30 ish. Check out in the morning was 10.30 but at 9.30 the cleaner attempted to gain access and we had to shout so they knew we were still there. 10.30 is too early anyway for £143 so I don't expect to be disturbed before that time. Overall the facilities didn't match the price and the name "Inn" suggests there is a bar and there isn't.

Pennan allow you to enter in another “world”… if you are looking for peace, quiet, silence and amazing views …that’s the right place! And… you got a professional chef cooking for you! Well done! Keep going like that!

Wonderful stay at this beautiful inn right on the seafront. Very welcoming and attentive staff and owner. Outstanding location directly by the sea - I requested a seaview room and was lulled to sleep by the sound of waves. Good spacious room, very comfortable bed, excellent shower, wifi, and breakfast. Outstanding restaurant in the Inn, delicious food prepared with care and expertise. Easy to park on street or in car park at end of street.

Stunning location, gorgeous view from our room (No 2) food was exceptional. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Tucked away in the Scottish coastline, Pennan is truly a location not to be missed.

We picked the Inn because of it's location and connection to film history. The location is stunning, we enjoyed a few walks along the short shore and harbour and enjoyed the experience of the drive in to Pennan. The building is very old and some features inside reflect that, but it was clean, cosy and well decorated. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely, the view is fantastic and the room facilities were excellent. Lastly the food,. I did not realise how good the food was going to be, it really is worth visiting for that alone. Our dinner was so tasty, the fresh ingredients and the combination of flavours used were really exceptional and everything was presented beautifully. We will definitely return for the location and the food.

Friendly staff, gorgeous view from our room (2), food was amazing worth the journey down to coast. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Was a stormy day but we got in early and settled with a drink until room was ready.
