"VIEW ON KILIMANJARO"

10.0

The cottage is beautiful inside; elegant furniture, a four-poster bed (a highlight for some), and a veranda with a sofa where you can lounge and gaze directly at Kilimanjaro. It comfortably accommodates four people, with two bedrooms. The people are very kind, and it’s close to Amboseli National Park – definitely worth a visit.

It’s not the hosts’ fault, but it’s very difficult to get there and even harder to find the place. The road is terrible and easy to miss. For about 15 km you’ll have to drive through the savannah. It’s useful to stay in touch with the hosts, as they give good live directions on how not to miss the way. So it’s best to go there in a decent car, preferably a 4x4. We actually enjoyed it, because along the way (not in the park) we came across a few giraffes and quite a lot of gazelles.

"Good for us but partly spoiled by our drivers reaction to his accommodation there"

7.0

Lovely cottage in a rural location

Our driver/guide was initially very unhappy with his accommodation - initially there were bats in his room and then he said the room smelt of bat poo. He was able to move to a better room on the second night but his unhappiness with his accommodation massively impinged on our enjoyment of our time there. Also if you are taking a driver, make sure they appreciate that the accommodation is on the far side of the game park as ours didn’t.

"喜欢这里的工作人员和环境,如果有车,距离就不是问题,它很值得住"

除了地理位置有点远之外,一切都是完美的,尤其是房间布置和工作人员,都太棒了。

地理位置是没办法改变的,除了这个它是完美的。

"Excellent Stay"

9.0

My stay was excellent,Jane the owner is super helpful, we needed to top up our gas for game drive the following day. Jane got it delivered to us at the camp. The team there is super always informing you they are there In case of any queries. I had a bad headache due to driving in the sun I was given a pain killer from their first aid box. In general they exceeded my expectations. I would recommend wild ndovu Camp to anyone traveller. The place is only 6km from Amboseli Iremito gate. Jane gives you very detailed direction and supports it with photos. Thank you Jane and your team I'm definitely coming back.

"Absolutely fantastic, I wish I was back there!"

10.0

We only had 2 nights to spend in Amboseli, but I could have stayed at this lovely accommodation for so much longer - I did not want to leave! It was so relaxing, the staff were super helpful and friendly, the owners were kind and helpful, the cottage was really sweet. The double bed (4 poster) was dreamy with views of Mt Kilimanjaro and the twin room was comfy and peaceful. The kitchen was really well-equipped, the oven and stove was fab (I did lots of cooking and baking) and the terrace with picnic bench and comfy day bed was heavenly... gazing over to Kilimanjaro, seeing the giraffe in the morning, feeling the expansive nature and wild remote magic all around us was simply enchanting. I am always the enthusiast, so asked if we could find local fresh milk and meat from neighbouring farmers and the owners immediately helped us out. We had delicious milk and lamb which could not have been more fresh and organic and tasty. We felt safe, welcome and enchanted. We went on two brilliant guided walks with John, who was always kind and friendly, pointing out details and helping us to find Ostrich, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Antelope and Masai herds of cows, goat, sheep as well as all the birds. We saw Elephant prints and heard a Cheetah was nearby but didn't see those animals... but we got up too late for elephant sightings so that was our own fault! The housekeeper Maureen did an excellent job, she was always available and became a friend within a few hours. The owners Jane and Ean were incredibly helpful and clearly care a lot about their guests, their property and the nature all around them. Jane was always in communication, very patient and made great recommendations. One example is the driver who brought us from Emali train station to Amboseli and back again, a legend called Luka. Jane suggested we go with him, and I would also highly recommend Luka as a driver.
