Well decorated facilities with a modern taste.

A bit away from onsen downtown.

The relaxing atmosphere is the key concept of the hotel. Staff are helpful and promptly responsive with kindness. The restaurant has great beef sukiyaki set menu. The indoor public bath is clean while the outdoor one commands a cozy feeling in a well designed garden corner.

A little bit away from the main onsen area. However this could be a positive thing if you enjoy a quiet neighborhood.

surprisingly, there’s no room services! we stayed for five days, we had to change bedsheets and clean the bin bucket on our own. not to mention, the room had been emptied for quite some time, the bedsheets were covered with dusts, made us suffering a lot from allergy.

Nice and relaxed place. I really liked the Onsen and the superieur terrace room that was quiet, also thanks to the respectful Japanese guests. Very kind staff especially the young lady from Sri Lanka, but all of them did their best to make my stay as pleasant as possible and I stayed for 7 nights! Very good bed and bedding and an easy walk to the charming village of Shima Onsen with numerous restaurants and cafés.

It was clean and spacious for a hostel and the staff was very nice

We booked as a group of 4, two women and two men. They separated our rooms even though one of our rooms were only us two, and it was totally possible to put us all in one room. We were a little confused.

The Japanese rooms were large, the staff was friendly and the food was great. We did the included dinner and breakfast and the portions were large, especially the dinner. You definitely won't be hungry. The breakfast is traditional Japanese fare which was good, but may not be suitable for some oversee travelers. They also had a lot of books for kids and magazines to peruse in their lobby and library section. Overall, the value quotient is fantastic.

The outdoor bath was too hot for my kids and one sink didn't drain properly (fortunately there were two sinks in the bathroom). The location is so so, but what you'd expect for such a good price.
