The Salty Mermaid Fisherman's Cottage, Whitstable

Very cosy with little personal touches of toiletries and condiments. Close to town and the host very informative of local area and accommodating to requests.

There was nothing to dislike.

Great location, close to the railway station, high street and harbour. Spacious, clean, cosy and comfortable. Everything we needed for the stay was available. Owners and cleaner were very responsive when an issue arose unexpectedly and sorted it out with care and consideration.

Nothing really but we did notice that some of the cutlery and dishes weren't as clean as we'd like.

The only slight downside about the accommodation is that the bathroom and toilet are downstairs. Something to consider for slightly older guests or less mobile.

The Salty Mermaid is a very comfortable cosy retreat. It has everything to make a stay comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped & the bed is very very comfortable.

If I was being very very picky, black out curtains would be an advantage.

Near to Whitstable

No toilet upstairs. We didn’t know that the beds were upstairs and the only toilet is downstairs .

We had a lovely stay at the cottage, it has everything you need to feel at home and is in a perfect location to explore Whitstable, a short walk from the beach and near restaurants. We'll definitely come back again!

Parking was a small issue. Car park end of the road was £1.90 per hour but when we got back, there as a space half on and half off yellow lines, hell we parked up and we were lucky, no probs. We have legs and we can walk :)
