The apartment was warm, cleana and very comfortable with excellent facilities embracing the heritage building with a modern twist.

Could not obtain coffee pods, could do with a cordless hoover as wodden floor became sandy and crunchy under foot after a few days.

Location.

The heating wasn't working on our arrival and it wasn't resolved until midday the next day. The weather was snowy and freezing and the apartment was cold.

Stylish and spacious, lovely large lounge with original features, attractive kitchen, big TV and nice soft furnishings. Lovely view and a stone's throw from the sea front.

The entrance lobby felt tired and grubby and didn't make a great first impression. The door locks were flimsy and insecure, especially the main front door. The back door was very draughty and noisy and wind was blowing through, making the property cold. The cleanliness of the property was generally good, however, there are a few places that need remedial work (e.g. peeling paint, mildew, etc). The kitchen was well stocked in terms of crockery and cutlery but cookware was very limited (we bought food to cook but ended up ordering takeaway); kitchen utensils/cookware needed to be cleaned before use. The kitchen bin needs a lid. The toilet in main bathroom was slow to drain and looked like it would easily overflow. The double bed was incredibly noisy and creaked loudly at every move, leading to a very disturbed night's sleep (we eventually decamped to the sofabed but the light and noise from the main road made it difficult to sleep there too). The small step up into the en suite is a tripping hazard that could cause an accident (nearly had a broken toe!). No instructions on how to use any of the main appliances and no terrestrial TV channels (we had to use on demand apps). Sadly, it wasn't quite what we'd hoped for but with a little more attention it could be so much better.

Amazing seafront location. Short walk to some great restaurants and as a base for exploring further. The apartment is spotlessly clean and comfortable.

Location was good.

We had problem with the plumbing on arrival shower blocked up and also the same with the toilet so couldn't be used. Was told to use a plunger as this had happened before. Told the owner but it could not be fixed whilst we where there. Was promised a small refund but have never received it despite emailing my bank details several times. There was another bathroom but that had a shower over a huge bath hard to get into when you are older. Specifically booked it because it had 2 bathrooms as we where a family of 5 so very disappointed.

The apartment was beautifully furnished and decorated. It was spacious, very clean and comfortable, and made for such an enjoyable and relaxing stay. The host was responsive and communication was easy.
