Bulls Head, Castleton

Location is in the middle of Castleton, room was comfortable and spacious and staff were lovely.

Busy road. Start time for breakfast was 8.30 which was too late for us. Pub across the road started breakfast at 7.30. Also could be more variety and teabag in a cup is a real no no! Other than that it was all fine.

Lovely little pub and inn located in the center of town.

The room was incredibly tiny. It was hard to fit two people and suitcases in there!

Nothing to fault. Great location. Clean & comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay again if we find ourselves in the area.

Excellent location, comfortable, clean with all facilities you need. Breakfast very tasty all freshly cooked to order, Diane looked after everything we needed and always keen to help. Lovely bar area serving good tasty choices of evening meals.

Hotel is in the heart of a beautiful town. Parking was great at the back of the property. Lovely, friendly welcome on arrival. Room had a really well stocked hospitality tray. Bed was super comfy and everywhere was spotlessly clean.

Our room was very small. Fortunately we were only there for one night so able to live out of our suitcase. But we’d have struggled to cope for a longer stay.

Warm ,cosy and welcoming. Staff were friendly and very helpful.food was tasty. Rooms were decorated to a high standard with lots of little extras we didn’t expect. Even our dog Hugo was a privileged house guest with a goody box on his arrival. Loved our stay and will be back.

Central location in Castleton with its own car park. Pub is very pleasant with a good range of beers and the food is excellent. It seems to have been recently refurbished. The room was excellent; clean and comfortable and a good size as we had a dog. Our room overlooked Mam Tor. The staff were very friendly, especially the lady who served breakfast, and the welcome pack for our dog was a nice touch.

Not the pub’s fault but worth noting that Booking.com doesn’t tell them you are bringing a dog and so we were charged extra on check-in. No issue with the additional charge but it should have been made clearer.
