It has a feel of old Japanese resort hotel, not a new flashy one. Food was good value, decent onsen , there is a drying room , ski lockers , small store and 50 yards to the slope.

I wish there was option ( I wouldn’t mind paying) to check in a bit earlier. Train arrives 11.40.

Staff were fantastic; good value for money; wonderful vibe in old school Japan sense; great free unlimited draft beer (and other drinks) at dinner… and a beautiful, simple hot soak in the evenings after skiing was spot on.

Facilities a little dated, but I don’t mind that because very clean.

Location, breakfast helpful.

Front desk and laundry staff pleasant and professional … the man in the chair from Toronto a bit of an annoyance. Dated linens in room.
