The dinner buffet had free flow of nice local sake on top of beer so good value if you drink. There is drying room and lockers, changing room right at entrance so ski facilities are fine.

Overall very minimal service and not much hospitality feel. No staff to greet you at front desk. when you arrive before check-in time, you walk into an empty quiet lobby. There was a sign that says "Check in is at 3pm ring with bell if you need something", it's not a bit deal, but this very minimal service is what you get throughout the stay. Not bad service, but no warm or mindful service. Be mindful of the location, it is at the top of a hill, around 10min walk from gondola for an adult. With young kids + gears it will be difficult. It was not the best choice for us as a family with young kids. Children buffet price is fixed from 3yo to elementary school, which doesn't feel very logical. Food buffet I would prefer less choices, better quality. Outdoor onsen was broken and out of order, this was disappointing as front desk did not even inform us upon check-in. We discover by a notice on the door inside the onsen. We booked 2 rooms, one was fair, the other was bad. Stains all over the ceiling and overall in bad need of a refresh. Floor was unclean. It's an ok hotel if you're just adults and comfortable with walking up and down the hill, just looking for simple place to stay.

It has everything I need for a snowboarding trip. Not luxurious but very functional.

the dry room was very spacious and the staff were very friendly.

it’s at the top of a hill that takes 8 minutes to climb. this is particularly difficult when you are carrying skis and all of your equipment.
