Millie's Place

The place was very cosy and clean Adequate heating Hot tub was on on arrival (and we were very early) Was also a leak on the hot tub however maintenance and lady ( sorry forgot your name) made sure we had use all weekend and advised phoning if we needed anything at all Seating was really only outside but was comfy and adequate ( there was a little breakfast bar) Was lovely and and quiet, could hear traffic but didn't bother or seem that loud to us The property is small but that really suited us and had all the necessities with all cooking equipment needed, towels and washing up products supplied My nephew loved playing outside Unfortunately being september didn't have the opportunity to try the barbeque or fire pit as it rained on and off but they seemed in very good condition and were still nice to see

NO WiFi ( wouldn't have booked coming alone with a 4 year old had I known) very poor phone signal also TV signal was awful and failed a lot No one seems to recognize address so food delivery and taxi pick up and drop off where a bit of a nightmare ( don't drive so was walking or taxi ) Needs a slim vanity unit at bottom of shower as can't leave things in tiny sink attached to toilet and actually use it ( had to keep toiletries in small kitchen taking up space ) Hot tub was on and fabulous but have to walk across stones so maybe needs a few paves to make path back to the door also no lights at hot tub meaning unusable after dark as no lights anywhere else either Communication needs a bit of work, replied to messages asking to ask again later (asking if possible to leave bag at property without checking in) and phone number wasn't provided until day of checking in so didn't actually know my answer until I did phone after already there, they were however very good on the phone but no opportunity to plan ahead and we arrived in Durham ( not property ) 6 hours before check in and wanted to do booked activities without baggage

Was close to a busy road so could hear the traffic allbtime, which is a shame as lovlybproperty.

The place was modern, the bed was really comfy and the kitchen was useful. Really enjoyed sitting outside on the comfy chairs too.

Things that could be improved were, there wasn’t any windows that could open in the property so it could get quite stuffy. The bathroom is quite small and the sink over the toliet is a bit useless. The plates/cutlery needed a wash before using.

Lovely little place has everything u need lovely and clean inside ,could of done with spare pillows ,tea bags sugar coffee and milk left nice bonus .no wifi is a let down but sometimes u need a break not much phone signal either and alot of takeaways don't deliver here if your wanting a break from cooking but everything is there even an airfryer if u want to cook .

We arrived Sunday just after 3 hot tub was put straight on after a couple of hours nothing luckily a member of staff was on property apologised for it not heating up and just said to give it time a btl of prosecco was brought for us as an apology nice touch but we don't drink it,Monday still no heat in hottub googled ,youtube was doin everything correct just no heat Tuesday morning on the morning we were due to leave at 10 hottub was working massive let down when this is what we planned our stay around

Clean room upon arrival. Hot tub was set up and heating put on as we arrived.

The bed was comfy the shower didn’t get hot and the hot tub wasn’t a proper tub was a lazy spa

Lovely and cosy property. The staff went above and beyond to decorate for my girlfriend’s birthday upon request before we got there and were more than helpful. 10/10 would stay again.

There isn’t any WiFi but didn’t affect the stay whatsoever.

Fabulous staff.. very quik to respond and a pleadure to deal wth Beautiful location handy for 2 pubs and lots if walks Very. Comfy beds and fabulous facilities.

Mould stains on pillowcases Hot tub liner was burst broken lights around tub and dampness prominently in room. Damp stains at side of bed and in the shower. Hot tub was lovely but the inflatable coverer was punctured and that made ut hard. To move as ut was filled with water. Leaves all over the place made if hard to enjoy yub as wen wet u draggedthem.inyo tub. A sweeping brush I did look for but non available 😢
