Bathroom is extremely cramped

In a lovely district of Edinburgh.Within walking distance of the city centre.

There was no mattress protector on the bed!The pillows were 1/4 out of the pillowcases as they were too long for the pillowcases,which also had no protector on.The sheet did not cover the top of the mattress.The top of the sheet ended under the pillowcases. A privacy blind is needed for the large bedroom window due to the proximity of neighbouring windows. We hung our clothes on a wonky clothes rail situated at the bottom of the bed.There is a walk in wardrobe storing a step ladder,mop+bucket+vacuum cleaner. Not sure how long ago a duster was used but the one bedroom lamp was coated in dust. I made this booking having read about the extremely small bathroom.Fortunately we fitted in the shower but elbow room is not available.The sink is a vanity sink with a blocked u-bend.Very very slow drainage.Above the sink is a glass shelf which is in the way for shaving or teeth cleaning.Its best to keep the bathroom door open to give you more space. The apartment has a budget IKEA furnished look to it. I would not stay here again.

The flat was well sited in the centre of Stockbridge Very clean flat Quiet The bed was very comfortable and had great bedding spoilt only by the nice clean crisp pillowcases having cushions placed on them which no doubt had spent time on the floor when not in use "decorating" the bed. Unhygienic and add nothing. Could be a great little flat with better general maintenance. Would have been fine if we had been there in the warmth of the Summer and not wanted to use an oven.

I advised the letting company that on arrival we spent a very very cold evening in the flat, as the radiator in the sitting room was not working and the hall radiator was only partially working, both seemingly had air in the systems. The sitting room door and the bedroom door had to be left open to allow some heat into the sitting room. The letting company asked me "please let us know if you manage to make the heating work" !!!!! In the same e mail they said let us know if you need help with anything. Having told them about the heating they did nothing and never contacted again. There were several other issues which they said they would investigate after our checkout! These should have been sorted before our arrival. The cooker in the kitchen had buttons missing including the one to switch the electric oven on, but someone had very thoughtfully left a screwdriver in the kitchen drawer to push into the hole where the button should have been to get the electric oven to switch on. The temperature regulator and function knobs for the oven were worn out and had no indicator of what the function was e.g. grill, fan oven etc and no idea what the temperature was either. The gas hob was working. The very least, I would expect when having paid to rent a fully functioning flat with a kitchen and heating, would be for them both to be working properly! The bedroom had a large walk in wardrobe , unfortunately being used to store a damp mop, cleaning bucket, ladders, iron, ironing board and vacuum cleaner. The cupboard had too musty a smell from the damp mop to use for clothes storage and a rickety clothes rail had been provided to hang clothes on in the bedroom instead. The bathroom was very very small.

The kitchen, living and bedroom were spacious. David was very helpful and quick to respond.

The bed was very uncomfortable (we are in our 20's) and the bathroom is very tiny and tight, we couldn't dry ourselves in there after a shower.
