The Stockbridge Snug by Calton Living

The location was fantastic. Stockbridge is a wonderful place to stay in the city. Plenty of fun cheese/art/wine/food stops nearby. Very walkable but also very close to bus stops! Felt safe in the area, as well as in the apartment.

It was a little difficult speaking with the shopkeeper when getting the keys. Not because I could not understand her but because it seemed like she also wasn't quite sure what to do, which made me a little nervous. However, it was eventually figured out. I also really didn't like how they had a washing machine but we had to provide our own washing powder. I booked this place specifically for this reason, as we were on a longer journey and needed the ability to wash. We could have saved money by going somewhere that didn't have a washing machine and received affordable services at a launderer. Lastly, this apartment includes the world's tightest bathroom. Be warned if you're over 5', you will touch multiple walls when attempting to wash up/etc. Had to take the filter out of the shower drain so it wouldn't overflow.

Nice location, very short walk (or bus ride) to the West End. Big sitting room.

It’s a little run down. Could use fresh paint and pillows to brighten it up. Bathroom too small.

It was super cute so clean and so comfortable. I honestly wanted to spend time in the apartment which is so rare when traveling. Loved having Netflix and every streaming option on the TV.

Some areas could use some touch ups. Some chipping paint and cracks. Missing sink plug which made me nervous that I would lose some jewelry down it. The iron didn’t seem to work. The window in the living room was open? Looked like it didn’t fit the frame. Didn’t seem to have an impact on temperature with the heating but made the place noisy.

Warm and comfortable especially as it was freezing cold in Edinburgh this weekend. Kitchen facilities very good. Excellent location in lovely part of Edinburgh on good bus route. Very easy to communicate with hosts who were responsive, welcoming and helpful.

Shower room rather compact. Would have liked to have terrestrial channels on TV as I don't have any subscriptions to Netflix etc.

I really liked the location, it is in Stockbridge, the affluent neighbourhood. :D The flat is on a vibrant streent with lots of shops, but not loud because the dormitory windows face the inner courtyard. Also, New Town is about a 15-20 min walk which is pleasant if the weather is not terrible. :) Good heating, we were never cold.

The bathroom is tiny, max 2 sq meters. We also had the bathroom sink clogged and I had to take the tubes apart to fix it (whihc I eventually could).

Honestly only the location.

This listing should be illegal due to how misleading it is. There are no photos of the bathroom and to be honest a closet is a better description of the bathroom because that is the size of it. Your legs touch the door when you are on the toilet, the shower has mould and no ventilation so it smells musty. The oven didn’t work which was the who reason we wanted an air bnb so we could cook (stovetop did work). The kitchenware was dirty so we had to re clean it all. The lights also flicker non stop. For the price I am absolutely appalled.

The flat was in Stockbridge which is only a short bus ride away from the city centre. Stockbridge itself has a lot of places to eat and a lot of charity shops to peruse. The flat was clean and tidy with all the basics.

The bathroom is tiny but fully functional and the shower is powerful. There were no instructions about the gas fire. I wasn't advised that there would be an off-site key collection (from a shop in Stockbridge) until after the booking. The host has a very long-winded registration process that seems unnecessarily intrusive

Lovely flat with good amenities. Situated in a nice area and a 10-15 minute walk from main attractions.

Small bathroom, but we knew this would be the case after seeing pictures and looking at reviews, so not a major issue.
