The Stockbridge Snug by Calton Living

The apartment was clean, spacious and had everything we could have needed for our stay. The kitchen is well equipped (we made most of our meals while staying). And we loved exploring the neighbourhood - lots of great cafes and little shops. About a 10 min walk to Princes st.

The bathroom is very squeezy (pretty much in a closet) - although the shower did have good pressure.

The location is great as you walk onto Stockbridge high street, close to shops, cafes and parks. Comfy bed and clean bedding and towels.

Unfortunately I did not receive the email from the property managers with the entry details. After calling them, the details in the email were confusing about which flat it was & where/how to collect the keys. Just say Cost Cutters shop across the road and along the street. The entry stairwell needs swept & the flat windows cleaned. The property was not good value for money due to various issues including: how rudimental & basic it was; lack of care with property upkeep; 4 coat hangers and a basic clothes rail; an absolutely tiny toilet/shower space (more like a cupboard) which was claustrophobic and not a comfortable experience; grubby, poor quality hall carpet; broken tiles behind kitchen sink; toilet light string very grubby; TV remote with only 1 battery; and toilet pull chain appeared from a hole in the toilet roof with a piece of sharp wire at the end where you grab it. The TV is plugged in behind the sofa on the other side of the room (very unlcear).

The property was very clean and excellent location for our needs and interests.

Bathroom facilities very small and impractical. Also, couldn't work out how to watch terrestial TV.

The location was good.

Tiny bathroom. If you are claustrophobic this bathroom isn’t for you. TV didn’t work. No chest of drawers in bedroom and not enough hangers for clothes.

Location was perfect. The flat was comfortable and had everything you need for a short stay. The bed was very comfortable.

Toilet/shower! I am 5 ft small build and my husband 5' 7" average build and it was not a comfortable experience in this very small space. I can't think of larger people even managing to get in the shower! If you did get in I think you would have to put the bath mat in the hall and leave the door open and dry yourself in the hall! Some serious thinking here 🤔. No instructions as to how the TV worked. Not a major problem on a short stay.

The spacious & clean flat. Amenities in the flat. Finally figured out how to turn on the heat as nights were cool at 1C. I found a community gym & pool nearby - walking distance. Major plus.

Only downside was the tiny bathroom washroom. Minor irritant given the entire experience.
