USThe location and host were both excellent. This is the safest feeling hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The neighborhood is quiet (unlike some of the other Kyoto hostels) but it’s a quick walk to any of the action.

ESThe location was amazing. The owner was exceptionally kind and helpful. They provided soap and shampoo in the bathroom, a hair dryer was also available. The studio was quite comfortable and had a lot of storage space.
The kitchen was not very well equipped and could be cleaner (drawers, kettle etc.), there was dish soap but no sponge to use for cleaning the dishes.

It was unclean, the garbage wasn’t cleaned, the sink still had food in it, the washroom was smelly. It felt like we were invading someone else’s house because that’s how the house was maintained.
