Athulya Villas, Kandy

Die Lage mitten in den Bergen umgeben vom Dschungel und der wilden Natur hat uns umgehauen. Einfach der Natur lauschen, Palmenhörnchen beim Spielen beobachten und nachts Glühwürmchen in den Palmen entdecken. Dazu dieses unglaublich zuvorkommende Personal. Man wird beinahe wie ein König behandelt und hat nie das Gefühl, dass diese Freundlichkeit aufgesetzt oder mit Hintergedanken ist. Das Frühstück war überragend! Fahrten wurden uns vom Manager zuverlässig organisiert. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Man ist mitten im Dschungel, von daher findet man auch hin und wieder mal ein kleines Tierchen im Zimmer. Ein bisschen störend empfanden wir die teilweise toten Ameisen auf dem Waschbecken und auf der Bettdecke. Ich denke, dass sie abgetötet werden und dann von der Decke fallen. Aber hat nicht groß gestört, da es am Ende des Bettes war

The tranquility of Athulya Villas was amazing. This place was good for my soul with gorgeous views and the garden teeming with birds. The staff were so accommodating and the manager’s knowledge of the flora and fauna was second to none. The food was excellent, delivered to us with courtesy in a delightful courtyard setting in the centre of the main wallawa building, accompanied by our own personal frog. Simply delightful. We enjoyed walks in the environs around the resort, swam in the gorgeously elevated pool and had a personal tour of the gardens.

We chose the deluxe room which was annexed to the main building. We did see one of the cabanas and felt it was too small for us as we had two large suitcases for our three week holiday. Otherwise, the outlook from the cabana was stunning and it would probably suit anyone with smaller bags! A suggestion for our room - a floor fan would make the room wonderful. The air conditioning was not working well.

Best location on the earth !! Everywhere is green. You can't find nicer hosts than this hotel.

The location was so peaceful with amazing views. The staff were fantastic and the manager, apologies I can’t recall his name, took lots of time and effort to tell us about the local flora and the history of the property. The food was fantastic and plentiful. We wish we could have stayed longer.

pool area not as nice as on photos. there are not enough parasols. Pool not well maintained.

Sadly the pool was dirty and the buildings behind it were a construction site

Quiet and peaceful and fantastic location with beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended for a few days of relaxation.

Very beautiful place inside of a nature, very calm place to relax, nice pool. Great looking houses and enviroment.

In the roof of our villa there were wood-worms in it and the did quite mess but after informing our stuff they did action immediately so it was ok :) they did their best. Just to be awered there is very weak wify and almost no signal. So you have to relax :)

Ligging, natuur

The staff was very very attentive and kind. They helped us with everything. The landscape where the accommodation is located is beautiful. The rooms and beds are very comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were very delicious. We loved every moment of the 3 days we spent here.
