Athulya Villas, Kandy

spacious villa in a beautiful garden, surrounded by large trees, great attentive staff

Amidst green lush hills you find this wonderful old planter’s villa that constitutes the main house of this beautiful resort. We spend some lovely relaxing days here over Christmas time. Thilan, the manager, is very friendly and so is his staff. He took us for a walk through the garden and for a trip to see an old temple nearby with astonishing drawings and gave us suggestions for local walks. Our kids loved the pool overlooking the hills. We highly recommend this resort.

Gorgeous location. Perfect for a romantic couple getaway. Nice pool but the water was quite cold in beginning of December. Amazing Jacuzzi bathtub in the room. Service was excellent, we enjoyed our dinner at the villa and lunch by the pool. So peaceful and quiet and the bed was comfortable too. The breakfast was very good Also good cocktails

The chair covers looked worn down and need a replacement. The cleanliness of the room and bathroom needs to be leveled up Tom yum was not actually a tom yum but dark brown soup. ( tasted good though) but I suggest to call it a different name

Private cabanas feel more tranquil & food is tasty.

The surrounding was beautiful! In the middle of nature with incredible sounds of birds and the jungle! The staff was super friendly and the room was beautiful and clean!

This place is made for calming down in nature and enjoying the jungle views which are incredible but unfortunately the pool was not very clean so we couldn't use it and also there were no sunbeds or anything in the garden or on the terrace to relax which is sad because we were planning to stay for relaxing on the pool. The location is beautiful but just keep in mind that it's far from other restaurants or the town which means you depend on the food of the accommodation and was not the best. Still, it is a beautiful to stay for a night away from Kandy town if you are searching for a peaceful place in nature and you have a car or scooter!

The villas are very nice, cozy and clean. The entire property looks amazing, very well maintained. The staff was super friendly and helpful, we had breakfast and dinner on our own terrace, they even helped us with the laundry, free of charge, because the service at the hotel they usually work with was not available at that moment.
