Lovely little home away from home in an excellent location.

A lamp in the master bedroom would’ve been nice but other than that I can’t fault it!

Very spacious in the living areas with a lovely, sunny deck. Cooking facilities are good with a great hob and decent oven. Heating warms up quickly when needed.

Picture quality via the aerial was sometimes poor and would be better with a smart TV. The free internet is weak so worth paying for the premium service. Could do with a better clean and some TLC in places.

Location of lodge is good to get around north Cornwall. It was spacious and had all the facilities, crockery, utensils etc that we needed for a four night stay. It was clean on first impression and had a little washing up liquid, 2 dishwasher tablets and cloth left. Free view TV channels, but no netflix or private WiFi in the lodge (if that's what you need/do when on holiday) There is WiFi on site but you have to pay if want to stream. We've stayed on this site many times and know it's a problem for phone and WiFi signals, it doesn't worry us.

However, the lodge had cobwebs in most rooms, crumbs over kitchen worktop, on floor and in the arm chair. The settee is stained and has no support on sitting, my mum hurt her back trying to get up from it, and there are a couple of dinning chairs which are broken. Most of the curtains and blinds need replacing. The bathroom door doesn't stay shut, which has been previously mentioned! The extractor fan in the ensuite didn't work or the lights over the table (we tried all the switches)The fold up chairs for outside were mouldy and full of bits and the decking by the table is very slimy and slippery, as I found out. The on-line lodge photos need updating along with the lodge furnishings. It's a real shame because this looked like and could be a lovely lodge with a little TLC Sorry but I leave an honest review and we have stayed in many lodges on this site and others around the UK.
