The Beau Hotel Downtown San Diego Gaslamp Quarter

Location was great. Staff was friendly.

No chair and table in the room. Wi-fi was slow.

Die Lage ist direkt im Gaslamp Quarter, aber es gab nichts Nennenswertes in der Nähe zu sehen. Das Hotel war ok. Einen eigenen Parkplatz gibt es leider nicht, aber Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es in einem Parkhaus auf der Rückseite des Hotels zu einem Preis, der gerade noch akzeptabel war. Da es keine Geschäfte gibt, waren die Straßen wie ausgestorben, abgesehen von den vielen Obdachlosen, was zu einem Schlängellauf führte. Die weitere Umgebung (Balboa Park, Old Town, Coronado Island, La Jolla) ist wesentlich ansprechender. Das Hotel war sauber, die Zimmer sehr klein, aber die Betten gut. Es gab keine Klimaanlage, was für uns im Mai ok war. Es gab portable Klimageräte, die mega laut waren, ebenso wie die Straßen in der Nacht. Das Personal war freundlich.

The pretty interior decor and design. The coffee stations on each floor and the outside space.

The rooms aren’t very sound proof. There was a wedding at the hotel and multiple rooms rented by the guests of the wedding. There was a lot of movement between the rooms on the floor with doors being kept open and music coming from multiple rooms until 4am. It felt a bit like a dorm.

A staff managed to get my car parked in a designated area of the garage because my phone did not work in the US to process payment. Fresh coffee available anytime. Nice breakfast by $25 food credit.
