It is a small one-storey building divided into two apartments, typical of a Portuguese village or small town, with all the pros and cons that come with it: it can be cold in winter or in the mid-season (although there are small heaters in each room, warm pyjamas are still needed), a lack of power sockets (we solved this by bringing an adapter with USB ports), ants (do not forget ant traps) and flies (leave the windows open behind the shutters). They have an amazing garden shared with the other apartment in the same building, where you can have breakfast, and a shed with plenty of firewood, a good washing machine, and much-needed clotheslines. There is a chimney in the living room, and we even tried, and eventually managed, to light the fireplace. However, the logs seemed a bit damp, so it is better to prepare some kindling in advance, or not try unless you know how to do it.

There were only twin beds, at least in our apartment. At least one double bed would have been preferable, as well as warm blankets for the cold season.

Perfect location, no problem for parking. The host was very friendly and supportive. Responded quickly to any inquiry.

Some furniture needs updating, though the beds were comfortable.

It's a spacious place, with character and a beautiful big garden. There's an open fire and wood to burn. It's a good location near to town and attractions.

They offer for someone to meet at property, but that didn't happen. I couldn't get any answers to messages I sent before arriving. Excessive damp on all the walls, particularly one bedroom, and this caused me to have asthma every night that I haven't had for 10 years. There is only 2 small electric radiators and limited old plug sockets. The bikes advertised were rusty and unusable.

Nice to have an actual apartment/house over a hotel. Loved having a kitchen and living space; wish we were staying longer to take better advantage of the whole house. Short walking distance to a lot of the attractions in town! Love the private garden in the back. Wish we had dedicated parking, but we were able to find a spot down the street or one block over each day.

If I recall, some of the doors, particularly the bathroom door, did not latch shut well. The house was also a bit warm. It would have been nice to have some more fans for when it is hot outside and there isn't enough breeze coming in through the windows.

Location. They gave us back part of the money as compensation once we left.

Unfortunately we didn’t have a good experience in this accommodation. The house is very old and mouldy, furniture is uncomfortable and bathroom smelly old and broken. We asked help to the people responsible for managing the accommodation and they were not answering to us. Really a terrible experience. Place is not like as advertised.
