Chalet With Sea Views

Easy access to beach and surrounding locations.

The chalet had not been cleaned properly and was dirty. There were cobwebs in bathroom, had to clean surfaces and all kitchen utensils before using them, shower unusable. Other guests had mentioned this in June ( in guest book) and not fixed. Don't use as you'll get burnt. No curtains in bedroom so no real privacy - get changed in bathroom. Bathroom light didn't work. Fridge not switched on on arrival. Place is shoddy. Expected it to be old fashioned but not dirty. Lead from microwave goes across hob to be plugged in - not safe. Contacted owner when there who did reply asking us to leave key in key box so place could be cleaned but we were already out so unable to do this and no further action from owner. Don't stay here.

We found that the appartement was not very clean. Although it was well situated and the garage was a welcome bonus. There is an enormouse potentiel and a good investment to refresh the property would be great.

Shower doesn't work correctly too hot. Toilet no modern. Sofa is not confortable to sleeping. No really clean

The position of the property was fantastic; right on the sea front. Having the covered veranda was also great as we could sit there in the evenings. It’s got a quirky layout.

The property is very basic; very dated and is in much need of some TLC. The shower is dangerous as it ran from scolding hot to freezing cold and we couldn’t regulate the temperature. Looking at the visitor book, this had been reported but not repaired. Apart from the sofabed, the rest of the furniture is very tired and worn. There are no curtains, apart from nets in the bedroom. The vent windows wouldn’t open in the lounge so had to leave the door open to allow air to circulate during the night as the weather was hot.

Loved the chalet being on the sea front, and the 2 verandas. Lots of wardrobe and drawer space. Loved the jet bath with its L.E.D lights. Lots of kitchen stuff ( though no one ever thinks of egg cups, and no exception here!)my daughter said the sofa bed was comfy. I liked all the bits of furniture and the piano ( needs tuning 😂) as it felt homely.

Really needs curtains. Would make such a difference at night. And to the look of place and the coziness. The thermostat in shower is dodgy, as is the lock on the sliding door to main room. Could do with a deep clean eg behind furniture, touch points etc

I booked this for my 35th birthday, and we absolutely loved the spacious property and stunning view. The best part was the convenient parking and the relaxing sauna bathtub. I especially enjoyed sitting on the front porch, listening to the soothing sound of the waves. Geoffrey, the host, was incredibly helpful and always responded promptly to our questions

There’s nothing to dislike about this property—it was wonderful! I just wish toiletries had been provided, or at least that we had been informed in advance that they wouldn’t be.

Great location, spacious and clean with everything you need.

Some blackout curtains in the bedroom would be nice.

In the interests of fairness I will list the positives first: • The apartment is in a lovely part of West Bay and overlooks the sea.

And now the negatives: • The apartment, and its contents, is run down and dated and was not clean, with dust and dirt everywhere. The decoration was old and tatty and there were large cracks between the ceiling and the walls in the bedroom. • The blurb from the owners of the property stated they were to be informed if there were any problems but failed to respond when they were informed the apartment had not been cleaned. • There was mould around the sink in the kitchen and between some of the tiles in the bathroom. • The cooker was filthy with lots of food crumbs in the bottom of the oven and across the internal grill pan. As a consequence we did not use it during our stay. • The pots and pans in the kitchen were heavily scratched and looked awful. • The two small mats in the bedroom on either side of the bed looked filthy and slipped easily on the partially varnished floorboards, creating a health hazzard. • There was mould in the bedroom wardrobe so was not used during our stay. • The fridge emitted a loud buzzing noise therefore the kitchen door had to be kept closed at night. • The shower was erratic and was either far too hot or freezing cold. There was no middle ground. • The window in the bathroom had been locked in the open position therefore the window could be closed but not secured. • The front door lock was temperamental and could not be trusted. • The parking consisted of a small garage in a row of dilapidated garages approximately 100-150 feet behind the apartment. Our Ford Focus only just fitted inside and had to be manoeuvred back and forth over to the nearside to enable the driver to get out. There was no other available parking nearby which was free therefore the garage had to be used. • The state of the apartment spoilt our stay there and it was difficult to relax. It was so bad we almost walked out and returned home on the first day. • We will not be returning to this apartment for the reasons given above. Photographs and video have been taken

Location - felt super relaxed. Lots of light and lots of room.

Door lock was really tricky until you got the technique, and some of the double glazing has failed meaning a bit of the super view is obscured.

The top windows in the front of the property were absolutely disgusting and filthy the bathroom window did not lock or secure the whole chalet need a massive upgrade i would not go to it again.
