Byford Lodge Luxury self-catering in Louth

The property was well situated for the town, easy to walk to restaurants and shops. It was very comfortable and had everything that we required. Marshall, the host, was extremely helpful and informative.

I think more crockery and cutlery would be useful as we had to wash up after every meal, even though there was a dishwasher. It didn`t seem worth using that just for a few items. It was difficult to use the shower over the bath without spraying the bathroom walls as there isn`t a shower curtain or screen.

Fabulous accommodation, clean, very well equipped in a great location close to the town.

Good location, walkable to Louth Town Centre. Good sized rooms, quirky and interesting in decoration. Kitchen very well equipped and coffees/teas/bread and butter made available to us. Hospitable hosts. Plenty of parking if going as group of friends/family

No windows in second bedroom so room very hot. Whilst the main bedroom has a French door to a patio to let in cool air, the second bedroom had no windows and the only way to let in air was to keep the ensuite door open and open that window making it extremely light and hard to sleep or opening the door to the bedroom and then the door in the lounge which was not ideal. It was only 18degrees that night but with no airflow seemed hotter glad it wasn't earlier in year. There was an electric fan but with no air to flow through it - it negated any benefit. Not an issue if only master required, but was for us. The hosts have recently taken on property so not responsible for design but if funds allowed an improvement ie aircon that would be great as this is the only negative.

The Lodge is a lovely quiet space but right in the centre of Louth. Brilliant. Hosts were really helpful and lots of little extras such as milk, bread and Prosecco. Will definitely visit again.

The location is superb; quiet and tranquil but still only a short distance from the town centre on foot. Couldn't ask for better. The parking at the property too is very spacious and we felt secure in leaving the car there whilst we explored the town.

There was nothing that we disliked; the property both lived up to and surpassed our expectations so we are two very happy people as a result of enjoying our holiday at this brilliant accommodation.

From the moment we opened the door it had the wow factor. Every room was amazing, the garden was beautiful there was a BBQ however we didn't use it but it was a fantastic touch. The hoist was great and nothing was too much trouble. The information pack was very informative from recycling, local bars, restaurants, places of interest.
