Demasiada amabilidad, en exceso, hasta 6 personas rodeándote, uno para abrir la puerta, otro para coger una maleta, otro para guiarte a la habitación… solo con el fin de casi exigir una propina.

Overall you get what you pay for. Rooms are really nice, although hot water goes in and out, but this is quite common across India. There is also quite a nice dining room downstairs and room service is quick. Security team out the front are fabulous and made us feel really safe and cared for. Female staff are all particularly nice and switched on, as well as the bellboy. Relatively affordable and quick laundry service. A big stand out was the team going above and beyond by providing a packed breakfast for us on our way to the train station to leave, which was really nice of them. After staying in India for 6 weeks, I can confidently say this accommodation is pretty average. Tip if you do stay here - tell your taxi/tuk tuk drivers you’re staying at the Hilton because they won’t know where this hotel is and the Hilton is just down the road.

Unsure if this was language barriers or just their ways of working, but we had some odd interactions with the staff. For instance, it’s got a full reception team yet ordering a cab to the airport early in the morning was extremely difficult and extremely expensive. Felt a bit suss - recommend organising your own driver a few days in advance direct to make sure you don’t get ripped off. Also, we got a lot of calls to our room either really late at night or early in the morning when we were sleeping about things that definitely could have waited or been communicated through WhatsApp. And we had HUGE misunderstandings about room cleaning, it was like they would wait until we were back from sightseeing to come in to clean the room? And every time we asked for them to do it when we were out, they wouldn’t do it even though they had several hours… In general, staff were not very grateful of how much we tipped too and expected tips even when things were incorrect, service was slow or they were rude. Also, as a woman I felt ignored or overlooked often where they would preference speaking to my husband even though the booking was in my name, or if I had a complaint or question they wouldn’t direct the answer to him?

Ensuring a seamless payment experience is crucial for a modern hotel, especially one catering to international visitors. Rooms & Amenities: The rooms are well-equipped with all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. While not luxurious, they provide good value for money. Cleanliness and maintenance are key factors that could elevate the guest experience further. Dining & Breakfast: The breakfast selection was adequate, offering a reasonable variety to start the day. The option to order a freshly prepared omelet was a nice touch, though a wider selection of fresh items could enhance the overall experience. Location: One of the strongest aspects of Sun Ring Hotel is its prime location. Situated conveniently close to the Taj Mahal, it also offers easy access to two highly-rated local dining spots—Pinch of Spice and The Salt—both excellent choices for those looking to indulge in authentic flavors.
