As a woman of a certain age hsvinv to go up and soon stairs to toilet was a minor drawback for me but not enough to deter me from recommending or visiting again.

To start, the Villa is just a house that you share with the host, a two bedroom house. Second its the lack of manners from the host. Forwarded my complaint to Booking.com about Magdalena the host on the Lorton villa. My husband was mistreated from the very first day we arrived in the property. She was racist and aggressive on her behaviour. The second night my husband complained about the bed and explained that the mattress was made of metals that sticks and hurts his back and ask for another solution to which she slam her bedroom door in his face. He then proceeded to pack his backpack and politely told her that he wanted to give her back the keys for the bedroom and leave asap as she was not treating him like a human being. She refuses to receive the keys and told him to leave the keys wherever he wanted. I have the videos of the conversation. From the reviews we could see that she charges people deposit and deduct money for minor things. Be aware. So we film the room to prove that we left it as we found it. She shouldn’t be allowed to use your platform to make business when she treat people worse than animals. I am putting my review here to alert other people and expose her behaviour on social media too. Do Not Book This Property.

It was available and the price of the room was good value, but then with the additional charges it wasn't

This is by far the worst experience I have had in over 40 years of travelling. I have never come across such underhand and misleading behaviour I was confronted (rather than welcomed) on arrival for not paying the £150 damage deposit and the host demanded that I pay by card. I thought I had paid it, so it was a misunderstanding. I paid by card and then I was allowed to go to my room. I was at the property 9.30pm to 10.30am and left the room tidy, with all bedding and unused towel neatly folded. I didn't have breakfast, just 2 cups of tea. The deposit was returned 10 days later, minus £30. When I queried this with the host, I was told that I had taken 2 snacks from the 'snack bar' and there was significant staining on the towels, that would require deep cleaning. I was flabbergasted because: - I didn't even know there was a snack bar, let alone take anything. Allegedly I took 2 packets of crisps - I did not take these. The charge is £6 per snack!!. absolute extortion - I used one small hand towel to dry my face and hands. The mark on the towel was normal usage. The charge for deep cleaning is £20!! Extortion again. I also allegedly used (and stained) the bath towel, which I did not. I didn't take a shower because it was the host's bathroom and there wasn't a secure lock on the door - I felt too uncomfortable to have a shower. Please note that rules or charges are hidden behind QR codes and links in documents. Nothing explicit in the room. Even without this deceit, I wouldn't stay here again. There wasn't a lock on the door, so my belongings weren't safe. As a single woman staying in someone's home and not knowing who was in the house, I didn't feel safe. The bed had a cheap mattress and was uncomfortable and the towels were looking a bit 'tired' after lots of use. The bathroom is downstairs.
