Das plötzlich 100 Englische Pfund als Kaution zu hinterlegen wären, wovon bei der Buchung keine Rede war. Völlig stupide wenn man bedenkt, daß ich um 20 Uhr ankam und nach ein paar Stunden Schlaf wieder weggefahren wäre. So sollte ich meilenweit wegfahren um bei einem Geldautomaten Bargeld abheben, für das ich Spesen zahlen muss. Nur um nach ein paar Stunden auf eben jenen 100 Pfund sitzen zu bleiben. Bin am Vormittag nach Hause geflogen. Hätte dann das Geld wieder rückwechseln müssen, wofür wieder Spesen anfallen. Zu guter Letzt gibt es von booking.com auch keine Unterstützung, wie zum Beispiel eine Erstattung. Habe ein anderes Hotel gebucht und musste die Kosten trotzdem tragen. Also doppelt gezahlt für 5 Stunden Schlaf.

The attitude of the landlord was poor and deceiptful. I've booked the place only for the apparent low price. However, after half and hour I've received a message saying I have to pay £150 deposit for any broken or missing object. I've checked if it states something like that in the Policy or Description, but nothing. Later on I've noticed stating it in another place where you normally don't look. I went to a hotel because I could notice there might be a scam. Basically, the landlord is scamming people by using a non-refund policy. Once you make the booking you can't get a refund and I've noticed in some other reviews that she uses all sorts of reasons to keep the deposit or part of it. Unfortunately, I haven't read the reviews beforehand. Never again!

Charged us £150 deposit and refused to refund for a food stain on the bed which I was happy for her to take but not taking the whole £150 and claiming there was excessive steam but there definitely Wasn’t as we both had 1 shower each an was told in the description when staying to keep the windows shut ?

The room was okay but the fact I have had £150 on top of what I paid for the room taken for a stain on the bed I’m not happy about at all

Lady insisted that I left £150 deposit for one night I was not using any facilities only sleeping there , she knew my wife was in hospital , had no sympathy at all and would not let me stay without the deposit I am elderly and didn’t know how to transfer money via online banking Stressful situation ended up driving home 3 hours , then returning to collect my wife next day another 3 hour drive

I stayed at Lorton Villa for a short trip and honestly had a really good experience. The place was warm and well heated, which I appreciated and the bed was actually comfortable (always a win when you’re traveling). I slept well the whole time. The host was super friendly and helpful, easy to communicate with, and made everything straightforward. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and my deposit was returned within a few days with no issues at all. Overall it just felt like a relaxed, no-stress place to stay. I felt comfortable there as a female traveler and would stay again if I’m in the area.
