Really lovely accommodation. Enjoyed the log burner and the hot tub very much. Had a lovely weekend.

Nothing not to like. Bit tricky to find in the dark - but Carol was super helpful and even answered my call when she was out on a Friday night!

Lovely outdoor seating areas, hot tub was fantastic. Area is nice and quiet, nice Thai restaurant on site.

The lodge had everything you needed to clean up after yourself, do the pots etc Hot water bottles, irom, extra blankets, washing machines, etc compared to other lodges we stayed in that havnt even provided a tea towel or anything to do your pots with, so that was a nice home from home touch. Also welcome pack was a very good touch (its the little thinges) ♡ The site was lovely and the hot tub is a great touch to be included in the lodge. The only negative (if im been picky) is the maintenance of the outside ground and decking wasnt up to scratch but we do take into consideration it is march and we have just had the grubby winter months, so we took it with a pinch of salt. Communication from carole was perfect, really well accomidating and helpful, no question was too much trouble. Letting yourself in and out of the lodge was fuss free. Thankyou ♡

Maybe a fresh wash of all the throws and pillow cases between stays, but i do have OCD so some may call it picky but i freak when using it after strangers.

Location to york.

The hot tub didn't work for first day. Given we were on a two night break, booked specifically for the hot tub it was a real shame and very dissapointing. I think they should have checked it was working prior to guest arrival. In places, it was a little tired ( lamp switches , tv connection etc). The fact that all keys for doors are on one fob (no indication which key for which door) was a bit of a pain. Better directions on how to find the lodge would have been helpful.. very difficult in the dark.

Lovely lodge, great for a weekend get away with friends or family. The owner was a great help.

Spacious and welcoming, the weather was lovely when we were there so were able to sit out on the decking, lovely area and sun trap.

The location was good, taxi roughly £20 each way to York and back Hot tub, best we had used.

Cleanliness was poor, we reported this to the host who had outsourced. Poo stains on toilet, half eaten out of date KFC in microwave, shower head/tap left on, pool of water on the floor, towels not prepared, cigarette ends left all over the outside area, 3 garbage bags left out front, sides not wiped down in the kitchen. This did not overly effect our stay, but when you are paying a premium price you shouldn't expect to do your own cleaning when entering a property.
