Nanny and Chips House

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely 3-bedroom house in Whitby. The location was perfect—close to everything while still being peaceful. The house itself was spotless, very spacious, and finished to a high standard. The beds were extremely comfortable, which made for a really relaxing break. Everything was well thought out and made us feel right at home. We’ll definitely be staying here again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Whitby.

Great location, very spacious, excellent sized bedrooms, helpful host.

There was limited parking but the host was very helpful at advising where to park and offering solutions. We were fortunate to find a space close by.

Clean, well kitted out, modern, had all basic necessities and TVs in all bedrooms. Host even put us some banners up, as we came for a birthday. The milk, bread, tea, coffee and butter was a lovely touch. It is a steep staircase and up a hill, in case anyone is not super mobile. But fine for us. Great location about 4-5 minute walk from Main Street. Parking was easy.

Well equipped kitchen and cosy lounge. We took the lovely top floor bedroom ensuite which gave the other couple sole use of the family bathroom. Perfect for what we needed and dropped lucky with on street parking right outside the door!

We found the beds in both doubles a bit too soft but that's just personal preference.

The house was spotlessly clean throughout and the added extras were lovely ie bread, milk, butter etc it felt like home from home . The bedrooms were very spacious and the double rooms had TVs and seating areas, the beds were very comfy (slept like a log). The house is located in a quiet area and is only a 10 minute walk to the centre, thank you Vicky we had a lovely stay.

Not enough outdoor seating for a family of six ( some folding chairs would be useful).

Nothing I didn't like

Great location, and very quiet, only about 10 minutes walk to the centre. Had bread, milk, butter, tea and coffee! Well supplied with cleaning things. Great and friendly communication from the host. Easy to find and access. Very nicely done rooms. Had plenty of supplies for kids (we didn’t need them as it was an adult group but enjoyed the game box haha)

There weren’t any toiletries so it’s lucky we brought some and it would have been nice to have had a hand towel in the bathrooms. The pillows weren’t the best but were manageable. It could do with a fan in each room for the summer, it got a bit warm and stuffy even with the windows open.

Great house, plenty of space and very clean / organised. Kitchen stocked with essentials for on arrival. Kids toys / travel cot also available without request. Fantastic house for easy commute to Whitby central!

Parking availability isn’t great but doesn’t detract from house.
