Nanny and Chips House

We booked our stay last minute and so glad we did! It was a fantastic property, the house was lovely and warm on arrival. The extra touches such as the milk/bread e.t.c were very thoughtful thank you. The house was really clean and surprisingly spacious, with super comfy sofas and beds, we all commented on how well we slept. The house had everything we needed including a tv in the living room and the bedrooms, a huge bath and showers, and extra touches such as books/games. Great location, in a quiet residential area but only a few minutes walk into the town centre (for reference a taxi back from the town on an evening was only £4.50). The owner vicky was very friendly and easily contactable, providing information on parking which was appreciated, although we were lucky and managed to get a park on the street outside the house. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we can’t wait to come back again for a longer stay!

Host went above and beyond by putting banners, balloons etc up which was an excellent touch. The kitchen was equipped with tea, coffee, sugar, milk and bread. We managed to get a space directly out side the front of the house which was great (host had recommended parking prior) location excellent and was easy to get a taxi back if you struggle with hills. We came as a family of 4 adults, there was more than enough space for us all, bedrooms very big. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again.

Only minor change would be the mattresses or adding a mattress topper as we all found we could feel the springs in the beds.

Not a complaint but a suggestion, a lock on the middle floor bathroom door would be good . A designated parking spot would be nice but advice where else to park was really appreciated

We liked that it was close to amenities, the beds where the comfiest we have stayed in when we have been away, the house was lovely and clean
