The Hive Hotel

Amazing location, friendly staff, very spacious rooms. My boyfriend and I stayed here for a few days and then decided to stay for another week after travelling to a different island. The staff gave us an extra warm welcome. We really liked our stay!

The hotel had a great location with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, making it very convenient to explore the area. The pool being right next to the beach was also a really nice feature and added to the overall atmosphere. The staff were friendly and provided good service throughout the stay.

The room was nice overall, although parts of it felt slightly outdated, especially the TV and shower. The soundproofing was not great, as noise from a nearby bar and early morning animals/insects could be clearly heard. The breakfast was also fairly basic with limited variety.

Great staff, comfortable room, right on the beach, nice pool. Fabulous buffet breakfast. Had dinner one night and that was good too.

There was very loud music and noise from the nearby clubs pounding all night. :(

The Room and Pool and also the Place is really nice. Good Location and nice stuff.

The breakfast buffet is a little boring after 2 days. Always the same. Also my Thai GF and her son not really like the thai food there. No Soup. This was before much better. i happy not stay 14 days with same breakfast.

La plage de Lamai qui donne sur l’hôtel, la localisation a Lamai, le quartier est sympa autour de l’hôtel, la plage privée, la plage de la mer ainsi que le chalet de l’hôtel Le Roux.

Le personnel, pratiquement inexistant. Par exemple, à la réception, il n'y a pas de téléphone dans les chambres. On nous donne un téléphone pour les appeler, ils répondent au bout d'une heure, quand on a un problème ils peuvent répondre mais sans plus, quasiment inexistants. Ils vous pressent à table pour vous débarrasser vite au petit-déjeuner. Je n'ai pas non plus aimé le lit qui est un supplice avec ses ressorts, on a eu mal tous les jours, malgré sa grandeur, on avait mal au dos. L'établissement est assez vieillot avec beaucoup de meubles en bois, la salle de bain est également très vieillotte. Le frigo fait du bruit la nuit, on est obligé de l'éteindre pour pouvoir dormir. Le bruit avec les voisins, on entend absolument tout ce qu'ils disent et font, ce qui est dérangeant. La femme de ménage balaye dès le matin devant la porte, tous les matins entre 7h et 10h/11h. À la piscine, l'eau est, froide et il y a énormément de javel dedans.
