Lower Marsh Farm in Cornwall

Loved the location. The animals are friendly on the farm and the kids really enjoyed this. Hot tub was hot when we arrived, milk and fresh apple juice available. Parking was great. Beds were comfy. Boot room was handy and games room for ping pong was nice to have. Felt relaxed and left alone by the owners.

These would have made it a 10 but they are no means deal breakers just extras and what we felt were issues. It should be noted, because we just wanted some time alone to be as a family we didn’t raise them with the owners and I’m sure that if we did, they would have definitely helped us out. 1) The instructions for working the sound skates so we could have a cinema night didn’t work. I tried following the instructions exactly and it was not working. Just kept clicking. 2) toilet rolls were quite limited. I know it’s part of being eco friendly etc but for a group of 7, we felt having access to more toilet rolls would have been better 3) the instructions for the walk to the rising sun pub were not correct. The route advised 1.3miles but when we walked the route, it ended up being 2.6miles. A lot of tired children and adults as there were a lot of hills. 4) there was only a tiny amount of charcoal left so our bbq ended up being an oven dinner for the most part. It would have been better having some more coals. 5) there was only 1 frying pan and which had seen better days and the spatula wasn’t good. Might be worth replacing both of these. 6) no sponge to wash up so we had to use a dish brush. A sponge would have made the cleaning easier.

A beautiful location with amazing view and walks. All facilities were clean and in full working order and felt the hosts did everything possible to make sure we had an enjoyable stay.

The only negative and it really shouldn't be a negative is the 2 mile small lane to get there but everybody seemed to drive slowly and sensibly.
