House of Peace

John the host was very nice and helpful. My coach was late getting into Oxford and there were road closures for a short time which made my checking-in very late and I got quite confused with the bus routes. John contacted me and made sure that I was able to get to my destination. He also told me about a quicker bus route to take to get into the City Centre and back to my hotel room. Food was supplied in great measure, i.e bottles of water, fruit, milk bread etc. Fridge and microwave also provided as well as kitchen utensils such as cups, plates knives and forks etc. You can eat at your leisure whenever you want. The room is large and airy with of course an en-suite bathroom. There isn't a TV if you require that sort of entertainment. I don't have a TV at home so it didn't matter to me that there wasn't one. Very clean and quiet. If you are looking to stay in Oxford with an easy bus route into the City centre as a tourist, House of Peace is the one to choose.

Excellent/very clean room , friendly . So much food available all the time . Thanks John . I ll highly recommend. Very helpful. Exceptionally kind to drop me to my course place as I was getting late.

I couldn't find anything

I had an overnight stop in Oxford after cycling up from London. John, the host, greeted me warmly and explained what was available in the room. As well as being very clean and comfortable, there was a range of snacks and kitchen apparatus freely available. So much so that I had no need to go out and eat in the evening. The neighbourhood was quiet and peaceful which always helps for a good night's sleep. The House of Peace is a great place to stay and I would happily return there.

Great place to stay. The host is very pleasant and moved his car to allow me to park my motorcycle. The breakfast was excellent.

The shower could have been a bit hotter.

Cosy recent decor ensuite room, clean and tidy, and generous keeper provides food and drink, would like to revisit again.

It was warm and cosy. Had a separate entrance so didn’t feel intrusive.

The House of Peace is not obvious from the outside which was disconcerting as was unsure if I was in the right place. Owner answered the phone straight away and told me how to get in so all was well.
