Yew Tree Cottage Riding Mill

Lovely old cottage. Cosy. Great location.

I wish we’d known our dog wouldn’t be allowed upstairs, maybe I missed that info. We had to buy a blow up bed and sleep downstairs as our dog too nervous in a strange place and would bark or cry all night. So we didn’t get to sleep in the big lovely bed together!

The cottage is cosy and welcoming. We were very comfortable throughout our 9 day stay. We mostly self catered which was easy in the well equipped kitchen. The location was perfect for what we wanted to do too.

Everything was great, cozy furnishings, well equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi good, great pub a short walk, very short walk to the railway station to travel into the city. Near by cafe at the station for a great breakfast. Good safe dog walks. Parking Space was always available.

Quiet location, well-equipped kitchen, very comfortable and full of character. Although parking was on the road we had no issues.

Nothing.

Cottage was cute, comfy and clean and had everything you need to enjoy your break. Our dog loved the riverside walk a few metres from the cottage. Location is just right, few minutes drive from the lovely towns of Corbridge and Hexham. Ideal for Hadrians Wall, Roman museums and plenty of castles to visit.

Nothing not to like.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The place was super clean, cozy, and had everything I needed. You can tell they put thought into the little details, which made it feel extra comfortable and welcoming. The location was great too – quiet, but still close to everything. The staff (or host) was super friendly and made check-in really easy, which I appreciated after a long drive. Overall, just a really great experience. I’d 100% stay here again and would totally recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, stress-free place to stay!
