CYFresh accommodation. Beautiful , comfortable to stay in. Just bathroom can do something about the smell, but it’s kind of common in Sri Lanka. There are dogs in territory, yes. But there was no dogs barking in the night at all. Very nice garden. And also we had good fresh made breakfast. Cool

IEI had a wonderful time at Gypsea’. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was so good, perfect way to start the day. The location was close to the beach and walking distance to many other cafes and restaurants. It was the perfect place to relax for a week. I will definitely be back.
AUPlace was clean and staff were lovely and helpful. Location was also clear retry good.
Room and bathroom especially was quite small. Things to note that there is no tea or coffee making facilities in the room and also no hot water ( we didn’t really need but if it was cooler it would be an issue ). These were two things we weren’t aware of and made it not great value for money.
GBThe property is clean with nice decor. Large bathroom and an ok size living space. The breakfast was very nice, the Sri Lankan breakfast is the best I’ve had since being in the country. Very tasty and a little but spicy. The host were very welcoming and helpful.

AUI spent 5 nights at Gypsea Madiha in February 2025. I thoroughly recommend this place to anyone looking for quiet, comfortable, and central accommodation. The location is incredibly close to the beach, where turtles frequent. There's also nearby local grocery stores, good cafe/restaurant options, and boutiques, all within easy walking distance. The rooms are super clean and tastefully decorated with a good private bathroom. Some of the reviews reference the lack of hot water - maybe it was the time of year I visited, but the water temperature was fine for me without a heating system. Wifi is fast, and the outside area is a cool place to take your meals. You can also get a nice view of Madiha from the upstairs section. The best part of Gypsea Madiha are the staff - everyone is incredibly warm and eager to assist you in any way so that you enjoy your stay as much as possible. Second best part are the Sri Lankan breakfasts - some of my favourite meals from 1 month in Sri Lanka! Thanks so much to the Gypsea Madiha crew for creating such a cosy environment and also for the efforts you make for the street animals of Sri Lanka. I'll be recommending you guys to friends and family. Hopefully I'll be back to see your other location one day too!
