The Snug, Beautiful Country Retreat

De sfeer van het huisje is echt geweldig, het omarmt je echt. Ondanks dat de uitrusting op enkele vlakken iets minder was werd dat meer dan voldoende gecompenseerd door de plek en inrichting van het huisje. Wat was goed: lekker banken, goede TV en leuke DVD's, ruim uitgeruste keuken, 2 WC's, spelletjes en boeken. Ondanks dat je op het terrein van de eigenaar zit, merk je dat nauwelijks.

De Wifi moet hier echt verbeterd worden. 's Ochtends voor 09:00 werkte de Wifi goed, de rest van de dag werkte het meer niet dan wel, onze tienerkinderen hadden het daar wat moeilijk mee. De TV had soms ook geen signaal, maar was wel beter. Ook wel jammer dat er geen diepvries aanwezig is. Douche kan ook iets beter qua hoeveelheid warm water.

The location was excellent to visit Bath, with the Park and Ride only a 5minute drive from the property.

The property needs a lot of basic maintenance. At least 4 light bulbs were not working, the shower tray was mouldy, the bedroom door handle bracket was missing, the fridge lower door tray broken (this had no feeezer section!), curtain pole on the stairs landing hanging off the wall. The one tea towel that was left for our use was filthy, as well as heavily used cloth and scourer., even the pump soap at the kicthen sink had no pump and there were no dishwasher tablets. One of the bathroom towels was also stained. All the properties we have stayed in to date offer a small welcome pack, at the Snug it was a miniture jar of marmalade and UHT milk pots! Parking the car was down a hill and not oustside the property, which was far from convenient. We were provided with an outside table and chairs, unfortunatley it was right beside a trampoline that the children from the house (on the same plot) used late into the evening. The view from the property was poor, unfortunatley it was marred with the 'stuff' (old gas cyclinder, petrol can , mower, rubble, etc) besdie the adjoinng house. The wi-fi did not work.

Location was beautiful and peaceful. We were there as we had work in Bristol but decided to make it a family weekend away. We visited Longleat Safari Park and Cheddar Gorge both within a 30 minute drive of The Snug. The cottage was perfectly clean and very comfortable/homely. We didn't really spend much time there other than to sleep and play board games on an evening (nice touch there was a cupboard full) Loved the friendly cat too, absolutely gorgeous!

The only thing missing was a freezer, we'd fetched freezer packs for picnics and weren't able to freeze them. Even the addition of a fridge with a small freezer box would help. Not a deal breaker though just a small observation

Perfectly lovely well-equipped property in a secluded location in hills off Wells Road out of Bath. A short drive away from park and ride.

Let down a bit by a bizarre welcome sign asking you not to drive up to the Snug but offering you no immediate clue where to park or the preferred way for you to access it on foot. More importantly, could do with terminating contract with the letting agent who bawled us out for ringing first number listed on Booking,com when we couldn’t get into the cottage. A very rude  guy with an American accent from Clean Break insisted that the key code had been sent to my email earlier that day. If it had, it hadn’t arrived in my email, spam or otherwise. Truly awful customer service.

Comfortable and homely cottage. Great location near to Bath. Pretty and quiet.

Would benefit from a bath mat for the shower and bathroom. Curtains in two rooms had missing curtain hooks which was missed by person making the cottage ready for our stay.

Lovely location, quiet, excellent access to town. Very comfy beds.

Some items of essential cookware missing, trays for cooking that fit the oven. Some items were not cleaned properly (baking tray). We had only one hand towel & no dishwasher tablets were given.

Rural but v close to Bath. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of space. Clean, quiet and secluded. Comfy beds

Too many emails from clean break team. Not enough specific/inaccurate info prior to visit.... Said tea provided but no tea there. No info re coffee so took cafetiere then found pod machine and cafetiere already present! V Minor issues. Generally a great find

Attractive location decent parking comfortable furniture.

The property was a little tired there were old cobwebs and one of the curtain rails was falling off. Whist we were able to connect to the Wi-Fi it said there was no internet. Although we were able to access the internet fine via our O2 signal. Although it was advertised with tea and sugar supplied, there were only 3 teabags and 2 sachets of sugar.

The cottage feel , downstairs toilet , 2 large double bedrooms

Carpets need changing ,

A real gem hidden in the outskirts of Bath, it was absolutely fantastic to stay at a classical stone house, very cosy and well furnitured, fully equipped with everything you need for a perfect stay.

The only things is thatc there is no shower at the second floor.
