"The Snug lives up to it's name"

10.0

The Snug lives up to its name. It was snug, homely and very comfortable for a short stay which I'm sure would be the same if you were staying longer than the two nights I did. Very peaceful in the middle of the countryside yet only a short 8 minute drive to local amenities and the park and ride to Bath. A great place to base yourself if you are wanting to explore the surrounding area. Would definitely stay here again.

The house is so nicely decorated and well equiped, in a very quiet place in the countryside, and also near the main touristic places. We had an issue with the equipment, and the team managing this rental property reacted immediately.

Although the main equipements (kitchen, toilets, bathroom) and house were clean, the dust should really been done also in the corners...It would have been appreciable to have one more hand towel and a bath mat in the 1st floor bathroom, just like in the ground floor bathroom and a good tin-opener.

"Comfortable quiet property within short distance of Bath"

8.0

The Snug was located in a very peaceful location, but close enough to the main road that it was easy to get to central Bath (we used the frequent local bus services) and to the other lovely Somerset towns that we had come to visit. The Snug was equipped with all the facilities that we needed to use, although some smaller essentials were not available as described. Many thanks to the owner for coming across to check on us when the electrical power went down early one morning. The Ring O'Bells pub in Priston is welcoming and unspoilt & does a really good Sunday roast, but you need to drive a couple of miles down narrow lanes to get there.

When we arrived we found no tea except peppermint, no usable coffee, no milk, and no kitchen roll had been provided (all mentioned in the detailed further info provided online) and the recycling bin was full from the previous occupants. A couple of tabs for the dishwasher would have been helpful. We visited the Co-op in Peasedown for supplies after we had arrived & unpacked, so it was easy enough to get these missing items. Our preference when staying in a property with the owners on site is to meet them when we arrive and say goodbye & thanks when we leave, but this did not happen.

Think it should have been clearer in instructions for arrival that you could drive up drive way to unload, we arrived late so made it hard lugging our gear up steep drive in cold and dark. I thought I'd read that tea and coffee was provided but there was only peppermint tea, 1 coffee pod and 2 coffee sachets (but we aren't coffee drinkers) so Saturday morning we were not even able to have a hot drink.
