Camping Pods Wood Farm Holiday Park

Perfect location, spotless facilities with warm and friendly staff from Reception to the Grounds staff to the Cafe Manager. Lovely pool, fishing lake and park. Really enjoyed ourselves will come again.

It would be handy if the shop was open all day but not the end of the world.

It was clean and well run. The views over Char Valley are nice.

The mattresses in the pods were not great and the location of the pods is close to the highway.

The staff were absolutely wonderful. Jane at the shop and Adrian on grounds were particularly fab! Reception were also great. The pods are clean and comfortable, well laid out so you have a little space from your neighbours. It seemed off at first to have to book the pool sessions in advance, but it meant that the numbers in the pool were very manageable. Generally very peaceful at night; we were in cabin 16 so right near the shower block (handy for late-night toilet stops!) but didn't have any noise from this.

The site is located about a mile from the beach and a steep hill, so not walkable with children. Check-in is quite late at 4pm, and check-out early by 10am. The shop and restaurant opening hours aren't really suitable breakfast (not open til 9am) or dinner (cafe closes at 6; shop at 1pm). But the pizza from the cafe is really excellent! It would be fantastic to have the shop open for longer as we would have rather used that rather than driving to the supermarkets or Nisa in Charmouth. Wasps in residence in the cabin and a broken light - both reported to maintenance but our stay was only two nights so wasn't expecting them to fix. A fan would have been appreciated as it was very hot in the pod. Things need some investment in some facilities - loo at the shop; the park; the showers (main block and at the pool); little things like the pool keybands are literally falling apart!
