Sea Green Guest House

The host is very very friendly and kind. He looks all the time that you feel like home and not in a hotel. It was very autentic and we could see the cashmiry life. The dishes were really tasty. He also knows a ecxellent guide and a perfect driver. You can trust of all them.

Bilal and his family have been very welcoming and caring. We felt like home at their guesthouse. The room we had was new and everything was super clean. The neighbourhood is quiet and close to main bus stand and city centre. Bilal organized a pickup from the airport as well as a drop-off to the bus station. All in all I can say that we had a great stay there. I can absolutely recommend this place.

Prices for additional service such as tea and food were a bit intransparent, though quite fair.

A very clean and comfortable place. Bilal, the owner, is a very helpful and sympathetic person in addition, the place is as quiet as possible far from traffic.

Bilal was an amazing host. He was always asking if I need anything, and happy to help. I really felt included and a part of the family. He checked in when I was out late with friends to make sure I was safe. The room itself was incredibly clean, the bathroom was nice with reliable hot water heater for the shower. The location is within walking distance of many good restaurants and shops, close to city centre. The food they serve is amazing home cooked Kashmiri / Indian food. Coffee/tea/kava and biscuits are also available upon request. All this is optional of course, but I would say it is worth it, the food is for a very good price. Overall, it was an excellent stay. I only booked for 1 night but ended up staying for 5! Would highly recommend this place, and I will absolutely stay here again when I come back to Srinagar.

I asked to do my laundry and Bilal took it to a local friend of his. The cost was very high, and it was returned wet and not all folded. However, this was not Bilal's fault, it was the fault of the laundry guy. Bilal saw that I was upset about this, so he offered to hang the wet clothes on his personal line outside. He even helped me pull some of them inside when it started raining at 3am! Super grateful.

Polite attitude of the owner of the property is veritably praiseworthy. Breakfast served was unquestionably splendid. Bathroom is spacious with required facilities. I personally entrenched a camaraderie with the owner while forging tittle-tattle with him during my sojourn.
