JOIVY Inviting apt near Edinburgh New Town

Irrespective of promising free parking we didn’t had any free parking due to which we had to incur parking fine

You get what you pay for ! All a bit mish mash and tacky but acceptable.

I could see an effort was made to keep it clean such as a coat of paint. maybe a new rug instead of the dirty one .A new toaster would also help and the bathroom sink tap is loose probably where people use it as a handle to get out of the shower as there is nothing else to hold on to, Front door handle screws loose and stairwell could do with brightening up very dull One BIG problem I had right at the start was when I picked the keys up I was given the wrong set of keys ,going back and forth before getting the right ones didn't help as it was bucketing down with rain and got soaked.

The location was 30 mins walk within the tourist spots, it was quiet neighborhood especially during the night. The place was equipt with all the necessary needs within the home. It was very cosy, comfortable and clean. Wifi also is fast and connected easily. Our over all stay was great...

Only thing that was a little off were the window curtains/blinds were seethru and the window from the kitchen doesn't have any curtain or covering at all. And the general lighting was a little bit dark. Otherwise all were great.

Shower wasn’t working

Floor wasn't clean. We had to flush the toilet with a bucket. Lamp at the entrance wasn't working. Lamp in the room is hanging too low, I hit it with my head numerous times.

The flat was clean and the furniture was in good condition. Overall the apartment is matching the description. As Nordics, we preferred the actual wooden flooring instead of the carpets and how the flat had fairly modern decor. The location was great and you had an easy access to supermarkets, bars, cafes and could easily use the public transportation to get everywhere in the downtown.

Some of the issues in the flat: -The worst problem was definitely the toilet flush. It works every 30min!!! and if there are 2 people in the flat, it just doesn't work. - the bedroom blind didn't work properly. - exposed wiring in the broken light fitting in the living room, and you constantly hit your head to the lamp that hanged in your mid-body level. - two non-functional hobs on the cooker -the kettle was dirty, someone had put all the tea leaves INSIDE the kettle and we couldn't use it. What's more disappointing is that many of these issues have been called out on previous reviews and the problems stated haven't been fixed... Overall we were happy of our staycation and the facilities but would only reconsider staying in this flat if the major issue with the toilet is fixed.

Well located apartment between Leith and central Edinburgh near the tram. It had all of what I could of asked for a 1 week stay in Edinburgh.

A couple of things were in poor state (a lamp notably) but other than that it was exactly as advertised.
