Very beautiful and charming property. It really harks back to the simpler days of the 1960s. It’s very well maintained, service was excellent and the food was great.

The animals in the reserve were great! The monkeys jumping on our bungalow roof in the morning were delightful! The wood oven pizza was delicious! Gin and tonics around the fire pit chatting with other travelers was a great prelude to our safari.

"Wonderful lodge with great food, service, and activities."

The lodge was exceedingly pleasant, comfortable, and friendly with great food. The lodge offered several activities and we made use of two of them during our stay. One was a walk through the nearby village of Usa River where we had a chance to talk with one of the local citizens who was a friend of our guide's. Later that day I went with a guide for a walk around the nearby (15 minute drive away) Lake Duluti. If our stay had been longer, there were other great activities/tours that could be booked.

Can't think of anything we didn't like.

"lovely setting on the way to safari with attentive staff and lovely grounds"

understated and had everything one needed, charming and engaging staff, the grounds were very nice and the wildlife were low key. Also the food was very good, especially the bread and fruit.

"Incredible peacefull lodge with first class service and food! Would definitely recommend!"

It’s is a beautiful and peaceful place. It feels like you are tucked away in nature, surrounded by lots of trees and with game in the background. All the staff are extremely friendly and go the extra length to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms are spacious and very clean and consist of everything you’d need. Also, the food in the restaurant is amazing. We had great lunches and dinners! The breakfast is very good with lots of different options. We absolutely loved our stay here and would definitely come back! It’s the perfect place to stay when you are in Arusha and looking for a relaxing place!

Returned to stay here after a superb game drive in Serengeti. Wonderful welcome back. More delicious food and a massage this time which was wonderful.
